Stack molds

Stacked molds are a cutting-edge technology in the development of plastic molds today, with cavities distributed on two or more levels in an overlapping arrangement. Simply put, laminated molds are equivalent to stacking multiple single-layer molds together and installing them on an injection molding machine for injection molding production.

The demand background for laminated molds is usually that injection molding machines only use 20% to 40% of the rated injection volume and mold opening stroke when using single-layer plastic injection molds, which does not fully utilize the performance of the injection machine. However, laminated injection molds can increase production by several times according to the number of layers without increasing the locking force, under the condition of one injection machine and one operator. This can greatly improve production efficiency and equipment utilization, and save production costs and human resources. Stacked injection molds are most suitable for molding large flat parts, shallow cavity shell parts, small multi cavity thin-walled parts, and parts that require large-scale production.
